At 3D Windows and Siding, we didn’t exactly plan on starting a window and siding business—it just kind of happened.
Back in 2020, Jason and Mindy Deters were flipping houses and managing rental properties when they noticed a big problem: finding a good window and siding contractor was like spotting Bigfoot—people claimed they existed, but no one could actually find one. Not ones to wait around for mythical creatures, they decided to take matters into their own hands.
In an effort to save some money (because house flipping is expensive), Jason stumbled across Heartland Windows in Waterloo, Iowa. These windows were top-quality, came with a lifetime warranty, and even used Cardinal Glass—the same glass provider that Andersen Windows uses—all without costing a fortune. But there was a catch: to get the best pricing, Jason had to become a distributor.
No problem—he just needed to “peddle a few windows” to make it all worthwhile. So, he reached out to his home builder, Austin Dannehold of Dannehold Construction, to see if he was interested. Austin became the first official customer, installing Heartland Windows in his projects. Shortly after, Jason’s realtor bought some windows for a client—but there was no one to install them. Naturally, they called Austin again, and just like that, what started as a simple money-saving move quickly turned into something much bigger.
Before we knew it, Jason, Mindy, and Austin had accidentally started a business. And just like that, Deters, Deters, and Dannehold officially formed 3D Windows and Siding.
What We’re About
Since then, we’ve grown into a full-service window and siding company, providing top-tier products at affordable prices. We believe in keeping things simple:
We don’t have a massive, over-the-top showroom (because let’s be real, those costs just get passed on to the customer).
But we do have a small showroom where you can see our products in person.
Most importantly, we offer high-quality windows and siding without the ridiculous markup.
